FETES DE PAQUES PROCESSION DES CINQ CONFRERIES
From 5 till 8 April 2012 to Bonifacio


The members of the Cinq Confréries march in a procession through the town following different routes and all meet in the parish church where they receive the blessing of the Sainte Croix relic insignia. Each Confrérie carries relics and sculptures of Saints on Baroque style wooden shrines that are illuminated by torchlight and lanterns. Traditional songs and pagan rites highlight the mystical aspect of these processions.
