The Sentier des Douaniers (Customs Officers? Path) runs along the northern tip of Cap Corse and can be started in either Macinaggio or Centuri. It is a relatively easy, well-marked path which provides an opportunity to admire the region?s protected fauna, flora, monuments and incomparable landscapes. It can be walked all year round, although it is at its best in the spring or autumn; visitors are advised not to walk the trail on windy days in summer due to the risk of fire.
The total time required to walk the entire length is 7hr 45min: - Macinaggio-Barcaggio: 3 hours / Barcaggio-Tollare: 45min / Tollare-Centuri: 4 hours.*
From Macinaggio: start out along the beach to the north of the marina
From Centuri: follow the coast northwards from the port
From Barcaggio: heading east, follow the beach; heading west, follow the coast beyond the village.
