The name comes from the name of two small villages which face each other across a valley in the Taravo region.
The town is home to some typical Corsican architecture, notably the parish church adorned with three Moorish heads. The characteristic houses dating from the second half of the 19C are also of interest.
A pretty footpath leads to the ?Foci? archaeological monument which dates from the Bronze Age and which comprises a passageway and chambers made from blocks of stone.
Other sights in the surrounding area include a Genoese bridge and an archaeological site. The area is also ideal for hiking.

Il nome proviene dall'unione dei nomi dei due villaggi che si fronteggiano su entrambi i lati di una delle valli nella regione del Taravo .
