Unfortunately there are many people out there that want to scam otehrs I know other people that this has happened to on more than one occasion I know it's sad, but it happens, because we don't feel people are really that dishonest you almost can't take any ones word for anything anymore especially on the internet there are eBay emails that if you are selling something on eBay people somehow, get your email address and send you fake emails saying they are from eBay and need to update your account or anything similar And people have honestly thought this is a legit email and give their info out and totally get scammed I have sent several emails I received to eBay asking them if it was from them Only 1 out of 5 emails was actually from them, and that has been months ago I have received many scam emails since then I am glad I checked before sending any information My friends have lost hundreds hundreds of dollars and not on just one transaction I can't imagine what you paid for the ATV's So far the only thing you can do is report it to eBay which you did and report it to the Police with all info you have about this person even the 3rd party anything you might not ever be able to recover your loss but it might keep someone else in the future from getting scammed I am sorry for your loss it is so sad there are so many people out there taking advantage of otehrs .I have had to learn several things the hard way also too damn trusting of otehrs .but when it does unfortunately happen to us we learn to get more info from someone ***Always use a form of payment, that protects you!!!***Pay Pal is much safer than most forms of payment for internet transactions I know I probably sound like I am lecturing I am not trying to at all Only sharing with you, the experiences I have faced and otehrs I know have faced One thing that I wouldn't even know where to begin with is the ISP #'s from the emails you have might lead back to the person that scammed you, but the problem is they will be long gone from that account before they will be caught I hope you are able to find out something Best wishes ~PEACE~self
