Les chants polyphoniques s’inscrivent parmi les traditions culturelles les plus populaires de notre île. C’est dans le but de perpétuer cet héritage et de l’ouvrir à d’autres cultures partageant l’expression polyphonique, que sont nées, en 1989, ces rencontres. Elles constituent aujourd’hui, un des évènements majeurs de l’île, où à travers une expression artistique, des hommes et des femmes affirment que l’identité est belle dans son infinie diversité Des ensembles polyphoniques du monde entier se produisent ainsi chaque année durant 5 jours (mongols, inuits, tibétains, sud africains, cubains, sardes …), au cœur de la citadelle de Calvi. Les différents spectacles ont lieu à la cathédrale St Jean-Baptiste, l’oratoire Saint Antoine et la Place d’Armes.

Polyphonic singing is one of the most popular of Corsican cultural traditions. It was to perpetuate this heritage and open it up to other cultures sharing polyphonic expression that these meetings were created in 1989. Today they are one of the major events on the island, where men and women, through an artistic expression, assert the beauty of their identity in its infinite diversity. Polyphonic ensembles from all over the world perform each year during the 5 days of the festival (Mongol, Inuit, Tibetan, South African, Cuban, Sardinian, etc.), in the heart of the Calvi citadel. The events take place in the cathedral St Jean-Baptiste, the Saint-Antoine oratory and the Place d’Armes.
I canti polifonici sono tra le tradizioni culturali più popolari della nostra isola. Gli incontri polifonici nati nel 1988 vogliono continuare questa tradizione e aprirla alle influenze di altre culture. Gli incontri rappresentano uno degli avvenimenti più importanti dell'isola, gli uomini e le donne affermano la loro infinita diversità attraverso l'espressione artistica. Durante questi 5 giorni, numerosi gruppi polifonici provenienti da tutto il mondo si esibiscono (mongoli, inuit, tibetani, Sud africani, cubani, sardi...) nel cuore della cittadella di Calvi. I differenti spettacoli si svolgono nella cattedrale St Jean-Baptiste, nell'oratorio Saint Antoine ed nella Piazza d'Armi
