Grand Site de Corse
Le site porte les traces de l'histoire tumultueuse de l'île. Les différentes épopées ont laissé, ici, un patrimoine bâti qui se fond aujourd'hui dans un paysage remarquable. A la Parata, le vent et les embruns façonnent le paysage. Les masses végétales sont sculptées de façon immuable et ordonnent la place de chaque espèce de plantes selon sa résistance au vent et au sel.
Comment accéder à la presqu'île de la PARATA
- Par la route D111, le Grand Site est situé à 11 km du centre d'Ajaccio
- En autobus, TCA Ligne n°5 Place de Gaulle / Parata
- Les promenades en petit train et en autobus à impérial (saisonnier) au départ de la Place Foch
L'itinéraire pédestre part du parking. Rejoindre la presqu'ile en suivant la promenade littorale. (15minutes). De là suivre le chemin jalonné de points de repère botaniques qui permettent de contourner la presqu'île (20 minutes). Emprunter le sentier qui part à gauche du restaurant, vous restez à flanc de colline au milieu d'un maquis dense. Arrivée au petit col, rejoindre le parking par la piste du haut. (20 minutes). Vous pouvez faire l'itinéraire dans l'autre sens (conseillé).

This site bears the traces of our island?s tumultuous history. The passing of the ages has left behind a heritage of buildings that sit perfectly within a remarkable landscape to this day. In La Parata, the wind and the spray from the sea have shaped the land. The vegetation has been eternally sculpted and the place that each plant species occupies has been dictated by its resistance to wind and salt.
Acces to the peninsula of LA PARATA
- On the D111 road, the Grand Site is located 11km from the centre of Ajaccio
- by bus, TCA Line n°5 Place de Gaulle / Parata
- Excursions by double-decker bus and on board the little train (seasonal) depart from the Place Foch
The walking route sets off from the car park. Reach the peninsula by following the coastal path. (15minutes). From there, follow the path that is dotted with nature observation points which allows you to skirt the edges of the peninsula (20 minutes). Take the path that lies to the left of the restaurant, where you will remain on the hillside and in the midst of dense maquis scrub. Arrive at the small hill and return to the car park by the upper route. (20 minutes). You can also make this walk in the opositte direction (reccommended).
