Si aucune route ne mène à Girolata, il est tout de même possible de rejoindre le village depuis le Col de la Croix, à 22 km au nord de Porto. Une randonnée magnifique, qui vous fera environ 4 heures allée-retour, à travers le maquis.
Ici, beaucoup de touristes en été, certes, mais un village loin de toute modernité et complexe balnéaire, sans aucun superflu d' équipement touristique.
