La Punta Castellu Il faut savoir que ce site facile à défendre jadis fût probablement habité dès le IIIème siècle avant notre ère quand les OPINI fuyant l'invasion romaine montèrent s'y réfugier. Cette montagne servit aussi de refuge aux habitants lorsque les Sarrasins envahirent pour la première fois la Corse à la fin du XIIIe siècle . La tradition populaire se souvient qu'il y avait l'hiver un comte Pazzu (fou) qui l'été partait surveiller la moisson à la plaine malgré la malaria qui devint redoutable dès le XIVe siècle , époque à laquelle tous les villages situés en plaine furent abandonnés. Itinéraire : Sur la RN 198 environ à 8 kilomètres d'Aleria , emprunter la départementale 16 en direction de Linguizzetta vers le restaurant Chez Marie Jeanne, vous garerez le véhicule à cet endroit .
Départ : Restaurant Chez Marie Jeanne au village de Linguizzetta qui se trouve à une altitude de 379 mètres. Emprunter le sentier en direction sud-ouest , vous ferez alors une halte devant la très belle fontaine des Cinq canons. Pente douce au départ puis plus raide et escarpée pendant la traversée de la forêt. Les derniers kilomètres sont un peu plus difficiles et demandent un peu de souffle. Au final vous serez récompensé par le magnifique panorama qui s'ouvre sur toute la partie Sud de la côte orientale et sur une partie du relief .

It is worth noting that this easily defended site was probably already inhabited from the III century BC,when the OPINI were escaping from the Roman invasion and climbed up here to seek refuge. This mountain also provided refuge for local people whe the Saracens invaded Corsica for the first time at the end of the XIII century. Popular tradition tells that in winter there was a Count Pazzu (who was mad) who set out to watch the harvest on the plain despite the malaria epidemic that was rampant in the XIV century, the period when all the villages on the plain were abandoned. Punta Castellu, un sito facile da difendere che un tempo, probabilmente dal III° secolo e prima della nostra epoca, era abitato dagli OPINI che si erano rifugiati qui a causa dell'invasione romana. Questa montagna servì anche da rifugio agli abitanti del posto quando i saraceni invasero per la prima volta la Corsica alla fine del XIII° secolo. La tradizione popolare narra che c?era in inverno un conte Pazzu (pazzo) che in estate partiva verso la pianura per controllare la mietitura malgrado la malaria che alla fine del XIV° secolo aveva spopolato tutti i villaggi della pianura. Itinerario: sulla RN 198 a circa 8 chilometri da Aleria, prendere la dipartimentale 16 in direzione di Linguizzetta verso il ristorante Da Marie Jeanne, dove parcheggerete la macchina.

Prendere il sentiero in direzione sud-ovest, fermatevi per una pausa davanti alla bella fontana dei Cinque Cannoni. All?inizio la pendenza è debole poi durante la traversata della foresta si accentua e diventa più impegnativa. Gli ultimi chilometri sono un po? più difficili e richiedono molto fiato. Alla fine sarete ricompensati dal magnifico panorama che abbraccia tutta la parte Sud dalla costa orientale e una parte del rilievo.
