Les forgerons y fabriquaient des armes avec le fer issu des mines voisines. " A Stazzona " signifie d'ailleurs la forge. Aujourd'hui marqué par l'exode rural, c'était autrefois le plus grand centre de fabrication d'armes de l'île. Au 19e siècle sa population se multipliait avec l'arrivée de nombreux curistes d'Orezza. Sur la place, une fontaine vasque fut édifiée en hommage au Marquis de Marboeuf gouverneur de la Corse en 1778.

Forges produced weapons here, using the iron that was dug from the neighbouring mines. ?A Stazzona " used to mean a forge. Today, it is marked by the rural depopulation, although it was once the islands main production site for weapons. In the 19th century, its population multiplied with the arrival of a great number of people from Orezza who came to take the cure. In the square, a fountain and basin were erected in homage to the Marquis de Marboeuf, Governor of Corsica in 1778.
I fabbri realizzavano delle armi con il ferro estratto nelle miniere vicine. Del resto ?A Stazzona " significa la forgia. Questo paesino che oggi conosce un esodo rurale senza precedenti, una volta era il più grande centro di armi dell'isola. Nel 19° secolo la sua popolazione cominciò a crescere con l'arrivo da Orezza di numeroso curisti. Sulla piazza, è stata costruita una fontana in omaggio al Marchese di Marboeuf governatore della Corsica nel 1778.
