Environmental charter of good practice in the MICE sector in Corsica

Business tourism, responsible tourism
Vanessa Segonne
The Business Specialised Responsive Agencies (DMC) affiliated to the Business Cluster of the Corsica Tourist Agency commit themselves within their own company and with regard to the services offered to behave in a responsible manner:

Preserve the sites on which activities are organised. Leave them in good condition after any event, make a commitment regarding the particular treatment of any waste generated or disruption caused

Encourage the discovery of nature and wildlife by raising awareness of its fragility and need for preservation

Give priority to visiting local organic producers (vineyards, cheese-makers, breeders, beekeepers, olive growers, producers of essential oils)

Give priority to picnics and snacks made with local products (if provided) and use biodegradable materials wherever possible (e.g. paper cups)

Introduce clientele to soft sports activities, reducing environmental impact

Raise awareness among business clientele of the island’s tourism policy in terms of eco-friendly measures

Promote eco-responsible accommodation as much as possible

• Attach the environmental charter of good practice when sending the programmes
