Les Rencontres has created nearly 300 original exhibitions, invited more than 18 countries, including Argentina, Spain, the Netherlands, Germany, China, Russia, Norway, the United Kingdom, the United States United and received more than 500 authors.

BD à Bastia has built its position by placing authors and creation at the center of its concerns. The event maintains a dimension conducive to conviviality, to the meeting between the authors and the public but also to the meeting of the artists among themselves.About thirty authors are invited on average. The work of all authors is valued: each guest author exhibits. The exhibitions are numerous (12 to 15 per edition) and neat, the reproductions of plates or illustrations are exceptional and the originals are legion.

The original exhibitions of "BD in Bastia" radiate throughout the city: at Una Volta but also at the Museum, in the media libraries, at the Black and White Gallery.

The invited authors intervene on site during the event, either in meetings for the general public and drawn performance, or with the school public in meetings or in workshops. The latter is particularly numerous: 3,500 to 4,000 visitors, from kindergarten to university. These students come from all over the Corsica region and benefit from tailor-made programs: guided tours with the authors or mediators, workshops, screenings, shows. They form, after more than 25 years of existence for BD in Bastia, a generation of informed public.

No signing session is instituted, the times of meetings with the public are organized in the form of discussions which can be extended in the central and convivial space of the event. An ephemeral bookstore only offers works by invited authors.
