TEMPORARY EXHIBITION AT THE MUSEUM OF CORSICA: "TRÀ MARE È MONTI"

Architecture and Heritage from April to September 2022

An exhibition by the Collectivité de Corse, curated by the Directorate of Heritage, Museum of Corsica.

Corsica has a socially diverse history, and its architecture reflects this diversity. Whether ancient or contemporary, architecture is one of Corisa’s great cultural riches and a part of its collective memory.

The architecture exhibition at the Museum of Corsica takes the public on an informational journey between historical and contemporary creation. Because a museum of society must offer critical spaces to understand our environment, its territory and human endeavours.

The exhibition presents 20 models, creations between the sea and the mountains as well as between nature and culture, and 50 photographs that represent the architectural heritage of Corsica. Large-scale drawings that surround the exhibition space showcase the architecture of Corsican villages.

The exhibition takes place in three parts:

The diversity of the heritage
The architectural heritage of Corsica

From traditional architecture to industrial wasteland, for example chestnut tree cultivation
A project by architect Sophie Fakis on the industrial wasteland of Barchetta

An architect's exhibition: "Trà mare è monti, the double tropism of Corsica"
An exhibition by architect Jean-Christophe Quinton
