Best Western Bastia Centre and Best Western Ajaccio Amirauté, have been rewarded for their focus on environmental responsibility. They are the first Corsican hotels to receive the European Ecolabel, issued in France by AFNOR Certification.

Daily actions implemented in the two hotels in Bastia and Ajaccio include: waste sorting, the installation of water saving devices, the use of LEDS for 80% of lighting requirements and the reduced use of individual packaging including for breakfast items in addition to the use of reusable or biodegradable-compostable containers. All of these daily actions represent a concrete commitment to protecting the environment.

Staff are also given training in the environmental responsibilities of tourist accommodation, in order to limit their environmental impact as is required by the Ecolabel.
