Activities not to be missed during your stay

In Corsica, there are a thousand and one ways to walk, walk, trudge, hike .... Every day, a new way to explore the island!

On land, at sea, in the air and under the sea: come and enjoy unique experiences in an exceptional setting, either on your own or accompanied by professionals. A range of activities is offered to you to try with friends or family, for children and adults alike. Treetop trails, little train trips and boat trips, diving, sailing, kayaking and much more will make your stay in Corsica truly memorable. While its exceptional natural environment is its main asset, Corsica is more than just a postcard. On land, at sea, under water and even in the air, the island has developed a range of leisure and outdoor activities to do and share with family.

Canyoning

You can practise canyoning in all four corners of the island. Whether you’re a beginner or a pro, everyone is welcome and courses will be tailored accordingly.

Canyoning is the ideal way to explore the forests and the superb rivers of Corsica in the hands of a professional. Jumping into rivers and waterfalls is a fun family activity that will make long-lasting memories!

Via ferrata

You want to discover Corsica by climbing its rocks and crossing the paths of its most beautiful forests, the Via Ferrata is the activity for you.

You’ll be amazed by the landscapes that surround you, overlooking rivers and lakes – a magical experience to enjoy with friends or family.

Our professionals offer courses adapted to your level. Don’t hesitate to contact them for any information.

Hiking

For those who prefer to keep their feet on the ground, you can walk the many marked trails that Corsica offers. Former customs officers’ trails, old mule tracks from village to village, forest and mountain trails, not to mention the famous GR20 – you have a vast choice. You’ll experience exceptional, breathtaking views and rare fauna and flora. Don’t hesitate to spend a night in a gite or refuge and cross Corsica with or without a guide. No matter the time of year, the island of beauty always lives up to its nickname.

Note: before setting off, enquire about the weather conditions to ensure you’re fully equipped.

Nautical activities

Corsica is the ideal setting for all nautical activities: sea kayaking, funboarding, sailing, waterskiing and jetskiing, surfing and scuba diving. Escape to the turquoise waters surrounding the island of beauty. A Mediterranean climate and a light breeze to allow you to sail, dive and surf all year round. You will encounter an incredible fauna and flora and discover classified UNESCO sites.

Paragliding & parachuting

For thrill seekers, fly in the air and admire Corsica from above! Why not use your holiday to try out paragliding for the first time?

For braver types, go to Propriano for your parachute experience. Sensations and views that will take your breath away.

Horseback riding

Another original way to discover our island of a thousand faces: horseback riding. You’ll find equestrian centres all over Corsica that offer hacks from beginner level to experienced. Lake Creno or Ostriconi beach are magical places that you can access on horseback.

To help you make your choice, Johanna has tested one of these trips here.

Cycling & mountain biking

If you want to explore inland Corsica but you’re not a fan of hiking or horseback riding, get on a road bike or mountain bike and meander along trails and through villages. Meet the locals, take a break in a bar on the village square, then set off to discover this island, aptly nicknamed the island of beauty.

Boating

If it is true that happiness is on the water, Corsica is a paradise for the followers of the sea. You can sail at your leisure and moor if your heart tells you, at one of the rings offered by the marinas.

Do not hesitate to contact the captaincies of the marinas of Corsica.

Train trips

It’s always good on holiday to allow yourself some respite while continuing to explore. Board small city trains for an original and rewarding guided tour, or embark on the ‘trinichellu’, the train that travels all over Corsica – and you’ll see the island from the inside. If you travel on the Calvi side you’ll see the Balagne and its coastline.
