Saleccia Park

The gardener’s art in the heart of the maquis

The only botanical park in Corsica and an excellent family walk. On the northern exit of the town of L’Ile-Rousse, commune of Monticello, Saleccia Park stretches out over 7 hectares across an ancient farming estate that once belonged to the family of Governor Isabelle Demoustiers.

This space, which is very well maintained, is divided up in a variety of different routes that allow visitors to stroll through the park experiencing the full range of colours and aromas it provides. While their parents tour the park, discovering the different species as they go with the help of the information panels that border the routes, children have the run of the various playgrounds that have been constructed especially for them. They can even make friends with the nanny goats that make themselves at home here.

Access: on the RN 197, at the exit of L’Ile-Rousse, commune of Monticello
