Presentation

Day 1: From Figari to Sartène
Arrival at Figari airport, start your itinerary with… AOC Corse Figari (118 ha): It is the southernmost vineyard in France and also the oldest since the first vines appeared there in the 6th century BC. .
Here the wine route and tourist visit go hand in hand. On a very old granite plateau, traditional grape varieties are expressed which give red, rosé and white wines of great finesse, well structured and distinctive.
To see the Clos Sarcone and the Domaine de Tanella.
Take the road to Sartène. AOC Corse Sartene (166 ha) The proud capital of the south-east watches over the oldest local grape varieties which give full-bodied wines with a strong personality and remarkable smoothness. The reds are well structured, the rosés have body and the whites are ample and aromatic. They were already favored by the imperial table.
To see the Domaine San Michele, Le Domaine Fiumiccicoli and Le Domaine Sant'Armeto.
Overnight in Propriano.

Day 2: Ajaccio to Calvi
Leave Sartène and take the road towards Ajaccio. Grand Cru Ajaccio (208 ha)
The birthplace of Sciaccarellu, brings together some of the most renowned estates on the island. The harmonious and full reds are of great finesse and an exceptional capacity for aging. The rosés have substance and remarkable distinction, while the whites wonderfully express the floral aroma and the character of Vermentinu.
To see, the Domaine Comte Peraldi, the Clos d'Alzeto and the Clos Capitoro.
Take the road towards Calvi. AOC Calvi (297 ha)
The wines of Balagne were already known by Sénèque. Today they offer great success with fleshy and bouquety reds, fresh and sunny rosés and whites of great finesse.
To see, the Clos Landry, the Domaine d´Alzipratu and the Clos Reginu.

Day 3: From Patrimonio to Cap Corse
Take the road towards Patrimonio and its villages. Grand Cru Patrimonio (406 ha)
Between Bastia and Saint Florent, this small region produces the most famous Corsican wines. It is the oldest appellation on the island. Powerful and warm reds, sunny and fruity rosés and rich whites, 33 estates are concentrated in Patrimonio.
To see, the Cave des Vins de Patrimonio, the Domaine Arena, the Domaine Gentile, the Napoléon Brizi cellar ...
Continue towards Cap Corse. AOC Muscat du Cap Corse (89 ha) and Coteaux du Cap Corse (31 ha) The vineyards of Muscat du Cap Corse are suspended in thin, vertiginous terraces ... All in the north of the island, the slopes of Cap Corse give long red wines. guard and whites of unparalleled elegance.
To see, Le Clos Nicrosi and the Domaine de Pietri.
Take the road to Bastia.
Night in Bastia.

Day 4: From Bastia to Porto-Vecchio
Take the road towards Solenzara and start crossing the AOC Corsica. AOC Corsica (1,390 ha)
From the south of Bastia to Solenzara stretch the largest vineyards on the island. The reds are supple and balanced, the rosés are racy and lively and the whites are fruity and of great finesse in taste.
To see, the Domaine de Vico, the Domaine de Poggiale, the Clos Fornelli.
Take the road towards Porto-Vecchio. AOC Porto-Vecchio (61 hectares): Medieval walls of pink porphyries, small coves on the coast, shaded by umbrella pines, but above all a few beautiful vineyards perched on impressive hillsides. Here reigns the alliance of Niellucciu and Sciaccarellu which give, with Grenache, elegant and round reds, fine and aromatic rosés. The whites are dry and very fruity.
To see the Domaine de Torraccia which stretches over 43 ha.

Day 5: End of stay
Departure from Figari airport.
Generous, varied and typical, Corsican wines are noted for their excellence. Among the thirty or so typical grape varieties, 3 noble grape varieties stand out: • Sciaccarellu is one of the black grape varieties, characteristic of Granitic Corsica. It gives a slightly colored color, it is light, fine, fruity and of good aging. • Niellucciu is this great black grape variety which produces very colorful, aromatic and powerful wines. This is the grape variety of choice for the "Patrimonio" appellation. • Vermentinu, which is also very well known in Spain and Portugal, is a white grape that produces a dry and fresh wine with wonderful qualities.
It is the only Corsican white grape.
