The luminous works and artistic installations of Festi Lumi, varied and full of surprises, are revealed through an intuitive nighttime itinerary featuring several points of interest: the Quai Saint-Erasme, the Saint-Roch Chapel, the Bastion de l'Étendard esplanade, the Sainte-Marie-Majeure Church, the Tourist Office, the Place Carrega, the Place Bir Hakeim, the Halle de l'Arsenal, the Pisan district, and the Saint-Dominique Church.
You will be subtly guided while remaining in control of your own pace and discovery of the artistic offerings. You will not only be a spectator, but sometimes also a participant, letting your imagination run wild as you view the works on display.
WHAT IS FESTI LUMI?
• Light projections and images using giant video projections on the facades of key buildings in the city center.
• Light installations scattered throughout the city punctuate the festival route. They interact with light, manipulate it, magnify it, and sometimes even connect it with the public.
• Magical lanterns, a feature of the festival since its inception. Like luminous “Tom Thumb” lanterns, they guide visitors through the citadel and fill the night sky with a swarm of mysterious lights (lanterns are on sale during the festival near the Arsenal hall).
This year, Festi Lumi is going completely digital at www.festilumi.fr . You can see all the highlights of the event at a glance and access information about each guest artist and their light installation.
On this page, you will find essential information to help you get the most out of your Festi Lumi experience: opening hours, access, itineraries, and much more.
MAGICAL LANTERNS TO TAKE HOME
As every year, lanterns are sold throughout the city by the Municipal Tourist Office. In addition to the tourist information offices in the Citadel, the Bastion, and the Marine, a sales point will be set up in the Pisan district, opposite the Loggia de l'Arsenal, on the three evenings of the festival.
