Pont de Porto, 20150
This charming village has a church dedicated to Ste Marie, surmounted by a slender bell tower in the shape of a lantern (XVII °). While strolling, you can take the Vistale road towards Arone beach. However, you will have to retrace your steps.
Return on the D81, continue your way on Cargèse. It is advisable to explore the city on foot in order to soak up the picturesque charm of this village. Below the main road, facing each other on the seafront, the Latin Church and the Greek Church contain many testimonies of local history. Be sure to check out the four icons brought from Greece in 1676.
Leave the village by the northeast following the road to Paomia. This hamlet was the site of the establishment of the 1st Greek colony in 1663. The definitive establishment of the Greeks in Cargèse will take place in 1797. After the visit, continue this small road until the crossing of the D70, you will turn left, direction Vico.
From there, the road winds up to Col de Sevi (1101 m), passing on the right the village of Vico, capital of the canton where you can make a detour to visit the Saint-François convent.
Then return to Porto by the D84, crossing the villages of Cristinacce and Evisa.
