For the second year running, the Trail de Bonifacio is offering a new route, incorporating the Strada Vecia path into the traditional Campu Rumanilu loop.
For this 21st edition, two race formats with different distances are on offer:
- Trail des Falaises :
- Race open to all, from the Cadet category (14 years and over)
- Distance: 8 km
- Ascent: 300 m
- Entry fee: €25
- Start: 9.15am, in front of the Escale restaurant on La Marine
- Route: loop towards the Haute-Ville, then along the cliffs on the south side, before returning via the Spassighjata (Quai d'Honneur) for the finish. - Refreshments: at the finish
- Trail de Bonifacio :
- Race open to all, from the Junior category (18 years and over)
- Distance: 17.3 km
- Ascent: 540 m
- Entry fee: €30
- Start: 9.30 am, in front of the Gare Maritime, on La Marine
- Route: loop around to the cliffs on the north side, passing through the Haute-Ville, then back along the cliffs on the south side, before reaching the Spassighjata (Quai d'Honneur) for the finish.
- Refreshments: at the halfway point and at the end of the race - Time barrier: at the halfway point
Practical information:
- Registration is full.
- Numbers can be collected directly from the restaurant l'Escale sur la Marine on Saturday 25 October, from 2pm to 7pm, and on Sunday 26 October, from 7am to 8.30am.
- The routes of the two trail itineraries are shown below.
- Prizes will be awarded to the top three overall finishers, women and men, and to the top finishers in each category, women and men.
- Unfortunately, the shower truck will not be available this year due to the persistent drought and municipal by-laws requiring the water supply to be cut off. - A buffet lunch will be served to runners at the end of the race, after the awards ceremony on the podium.
- Charity walk :
- Walk open to all
- Distance: approx. 5 km
- Elevation gain: 150 m
- Entry fee: €10 (all proceeds to be donated to the Handicap Extrême Sud association)
- Start: 9.35am, in front of the Minute car park, on La Marine
- Route: a lovely loop through the Bonifacian countryside - No refreshments
Registration for the walk will take place directly at the Escale restaurant on La Marine, on Saturday 25 October, from 2pm to 7pm, and on Sunday 26 October, from 7am to 8.30am.
