Presentation
A charming, typical mountain village situated upstream of the Taravo river. One of the oldest houses in Corsica, ?U Palazzu?, can be seen here, as well as a group of urban buildings which was quite rare in a rural setting at the time. The present church has retained an apse dating from the 13C. Visit an authentic old olive oil factory, the Moulin de Calcinaghju, used to produce Marseille-style soap in the 1870s and 1880s. Not to be missed: the ruins of the ?San Petru di Panicali? abbey church situated on a hill between Ampaza and Zigliara.
