Corte, the island's historic capital, offers plenty of opportunities for hiking in the mountains, while Calvi, with its chic port and magnificent coastline, offers a totally different experience. Comfortable accommodation in 3* hotels.
DAY 1
Corte, historic capital of Corsica
Begin your stay in Corte, a university town at the foot of high mountains. Transfer or train from Bastia, Calvi or Ajaccio. Check-in at your hotel in the afternoon, when you'll have the chance to explore the city.
DAY 2
Tavignano gorges and natural pools
After breakfast, you'll head to the citadel of Corte for the start of a superb day's walk along the Tavignano gorges. This walk takes you through the Tavignano Gorge, a shepherd's path to the hills. You'll pass through a variety of landscapes.
Take a break at the river; under a bridge over the Tavignano, you can bathe in the clear waters and enjoy a picnic lunch. Return to Corte along the same route, with magnificent views over the valley.

DAY 3
Gorges de la Restonica
These magnificent gorges are one of Corsica's most unspoilt sites. Following the storms of 2023, the Melo and Capitello lakes are no longer accessible, but new paths, once hidden, are breathtaking. The views are marvellous, and the magnificent landscapes of the Restonica valley unfold before your eyes, far from the crowds.

DAY 4
From Corte to Calvi by train
You can take the train in the morning or stay a little longer in Corte. The choice is yours. The train will take you through some fantastic scenery before arriving in Calvi, your home for the second half of your vacation. Calvi is a charming little town, with a lively center in summer. Here you'll find a Genoese citadel and a small port lined with bars and restaurants. You can also relax on Calvi's beach, swim in the sea or lounge by the hotel pool
DAY 5
La Revellata lighthouse and seascape
After breakfast, you'll start your walk from the citadel and the monument to Christopher Columbus (said to have been born in Calvi). Your walk will take you southwards, along the coast and onto a peninsula. You can swim on the peninsula's various secluded beaches before reaching the Revellata lighthouse. From here, you can return to Calvi via a path at the top of the peninsula.

DAY 6
Notre Dame de la Serra overlooking Calvi
Today, you'll leave the coast and follow a path inland (through the Corsican scrubland) to the chapel of Notre Dame de la Serra. From here, the view of the Gulf of Calvi, the citadel and the Revellata is superb. Afterwards, you can either return directly to Calvi, or continue on the path that takes you higher up the mountainside.

End of your stay
