Open air gateaway and head back to basics with the West Corsica Tourist Office

ON THE PROGRAMME 

 

 Day 1 : Warm up

Arrivée à Piana, on file se dégourdi les jambes sur la randonnée de Capo d'Orto (5h A/R). A son sommet, vue spectaculaire sur le golfe de Porto et les Calanche de Piana. Ca vaut vraiment le détour!

Transfert à Serriera. Et pour ceux qui n'en ont pas encore eu assez, possibilité de faire une petite randonnée vers le village abandonné de Pinito (2h A/R).

Repas et nuit en gîte d’étape.

Arrived at Piana, we stretch our legs during the hike of Capo d'Orto (5h A/R). Expect spectacular views of the gulf of Porto and the Clalanche of Piana at the top. It’s definitely worth the detour.

Transfer to Serriera. And for those wanting more, head for another small hike to the abandoned village of Pinoto (2h round trip).

Meal and night in a lodge.

 

Day 2 : Get set, ready, go!

Early morning departure from Serriera towards Ota for a 6h30 walk. Enjoy a picnic on the way and all transfers of luggage’s are taken care of.

Arrival in Ota.

Day 3 : Enjoy the mountains

Departure from Ota for a 3-hour walk. At the start of Spelunca gorge trail, cross the village and reach an old mule track that once linked Ota to Evisa.

Picnic break in Evisa. Then we make a small detour and discover the natural pools along with the waterfalls Aitone forest (2h A/R). Feel free to bathe there if you can keep up with the cold.

Then take the Mare e Monti path and head towards Marignana (2h).

Meals and night in a lodge.

 

Day 4 : Head back down to the sea.

Last 8 hour route from Marignana to Revinda near Cargese.

Transfer from Revinda to Cargèse. Meal and overnight in a 2 star hotel in Cargèse

 

Day 5 : At your own pace

Spend the last day relaxing. Feel free to go swimming, visit any site that caught your eye or just go shopping! Cargese is a fantastic little village with a slight greek look to it, which by the way, its Greek church is still very much open! And enjoy a meal in Cargèse.
