An authentic getaway - 4 days / 3 nights
Halfway between Ajaccio and the far south, the Sartenais Valinco Taravo region is the essence of Corsica. Unspoiled nature, a strong identity, authentic heritage, and a multitude of activities, all brought together in a Mediterranean setting.
Between land and sea, between thrills and relaxation, on the Mediterranean, on the trails, or from the sky, here you can choose the pace that suits you for a vacation that reflects who you are.
YOUR PROGRAM:
DAY 1
Discover local flavors at the Petreto-Bicchisano farmers' market before visiting the prehistoric site of Filitosa.
Here, you will be overcome with emotion as you discover these ancient stones surrounded by centuries-old olive trees. Continuing towards Propriano, stop at Olmeto, a typical Corsican village that offers a heritage trail through its narrow streets.
DAY 2
Set off to explore Roccapina: its wild beach, its bay with turquoise waters, and its famous lion, a natural granite sculpture. For an exceptional view of the Sartenais coastline stretching to the southern tip of the island, climb the path through the scrubland that leads to the remains of a Genoese tower. On the way back, visit the Casa di Roccapina and its interpretive trail to learn more about the history of the site. Take a well-deserved break at a farmhouse inn and enjoy authentic local cuisine.
DAY 3
Campomoro, a small, typical fishing village, is the starting point for a hike in a natural site protected by the Conservatoire du Littoral. Walk to the Genoese tower for a breathtaking view of the Gulf of Valinco, all the way to the Aiguilles de Bavella.
DAY 4
Head to Sartène, where you will discover a medieval town with picturesque narrow streets. Learn a little history with the audio guide or visit the archaeology museum, which traces human occupation of Corsica from the beginning of the 9th millennium BC to the end of the Iron Age.
