Jacquemus chooses Corsica for its next fashion show

On 29 June 2026, at 10 o’clock sharp, the eyes of the fashion world will be fixed on a small rocky islet in Balagne. Neither Paris, nor Milan, nor a secret villa on the Riviera. Jacquemus has chosen Corsica — and more specifically the Phare de la Pietra lighthouse in Lisula (L’Île-Rousse) — to unveil its ‘Le Bonheur’ collection. This choice is by no means a coincidence. And it speaks volumes about the image Corsica projects today, far beyond its coastline.

Why Jacquemus chose Corsica for his fashion show

Jacquemus is not a fashion house like any other. Every fashion show becomes an iconic image, carefully staged in exceptional locations: the lavender fields of Valensole, the pink salt flats of the Camargue, the gardens of Versailles, the rooftop of Villa Malaparte in Capri. Simon Porte Jacquemus never chooses a setting by default — he selects a location that tells a story even before the first model appears. This time, it is the ‘Island of Beauty’ that is set to become legendary.

The Pietra Lighthouse, setting for the ‘Le Bonheur’ fashion show

Built in the 19th century on a small islet connected to Lisula (L’Île-Rousse) by a causeway, the Pietra Lighthouse overlooks the Mediterranean. Its silhouette shifts from pale pink to deep red in the morning light. A monument. A sea stretching as far as the eye can see. It’s enough to understand, at a glance, why a designer obsessed with imagery fell in love with this site.

But why Lisula (L’Île-Rousse), specifically?

Because the town brings together, in a single place, several facets of Corsica:

  • A founding history. Founded in the 18th century by Pascal Paoli to assert Corsican independence from Genoa, it retains a unique character, somewhere between a trading town and a seaside resort.
  • A strong cultural identity. Place Paoli, the covered market, Florentine-inspired houses: the town still bears the living traces of its history and the island’s way of life.
  • A gateway to the Balagne, with its hilltop villages and olive groves.

It is hard to find, anywhere else in the Mediterranean, such a concentration of heritage and scenery within easy reach.

‘Le Bonheur’, or Corsica as a new muse

With this name, Jacquemus continues his obsession with places, light and simple emotions. But this time, the intensity is different: more mineral, more distinctive, wilder than his previous settings.

The event will remain exclusive — with restricted access, guests selected from the international press and a few prominent figures. There is, however, a strong local touch: a casting organised in Corsica will see models from the island walk the catwalk alongside the brand’s regulars. And Jacquemus is also committed to the region, supporting the restoration of an important piece of local heritage.

The real challenge, beyond the fashion show

When one of the world’s most creative fashion houses chooses the ‘Island of Beauty’ over Provence or the Cyclades, it shifts perceptions entirely:

  • Light that rivals the most beautiful Mediterranean settings.
  • A heritage to be celebrated
  • An instant global showcase — the images will be seen around the world in a matter of hours.
  • A land of inspiration, true to the values of sustainable tourism championed by Corsica, recognised by the Green Destinations label.

On 29 June, it won’t just be clothes parading at the foot of the lighthouse. It is a certain vision of Corsica — raw, luminous, unique — that is set to captivate the whole world. And which already inspires just one desire: to come and discover it for yourself.

Access to the Phare de la Pietra site will be restricted on the day of the event. If you are planning a visit during this period, it is best to plan ahead and adjust your dates.
