The best winter watersports to enjoy in Corsica

Don’t fear the arrival of winter. Whether part of a club, with family or alone, marine activities can be enjoyed in Corsica all year round. Thanks to its mild climate, mild temperatures and seaside spots sheltered from the restless winter currents, Corsica remains a destination for watersports whatever the time of year.

Sail at leisure and drop anchor wherever your heart desires, or in one of the numerous marinas.

Usually in clubs, rowing is practiced solo, with two to four or up to eight people. Whether gentle outing or race pace – it’s up to you.

Stand-up paddling

Stand-up paddling is becoming more diverse, with aquatic hikes or yoga on the water – there’s something for everyone.

Sea kayaking

Now transparent at some rental companies, sea kayaking offers an unusual view of the seabed. You can go everywhere  and have the benefit of exploring places inaccessible by boat.

Corsica has some famous surfing spots along its coast and the sport has been enjoyed here since the mid-80s, by all ages. Don’t forget your combi.

Scuba diving

On a dive, you’ll witness extraordinary marine wildlife and discover UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

The winter wind will be your ally – you’ll get an adrenaline rush on many spots across the island.
