Lama, a village in the Balagne classified as a ‘Green Resort’
Lama is the only classified ‘Green Resort’ in Corsica. Perched in the Ostriconi valley, the village offers visitors a special setting: narrow cobbled streets, preserved architecture dating back to the Middle Ages, a protected natural heritage (the village is also a labelled ‘Village Fleuri’ for its floral displays), combined with multiple sports and leisure facilities (swimming pool and tennis courts), culture (international film festival, exhibitions), accommodation and gastronomy (cheese cellar, restaurants and local products).

What is a ‘Station Vert’ (Green Resort)?
To become a Green Resort in the countryside or mountains, a destination must meet specific criteria: respect for and preservation of nature, a range of accommodation to suit different tastes, a range of sites to visit and activities to experience, and it must be a gateway to the surrounding terroir.
The destination must also offer permanent and well-organised leisure activities, a Tourist Office with plenty of information, 200 beds in various types of accommodation, various shops and services, playgrounds, communal green spaces and discovery areas (nature, visits, products to taste).
