Corsica, an island accessible all year round

With its 6 ports and 4 airports, you can reach the Island of Beauty in just a few hours by air or by sea. Corsica remains accessible all year round thanks to the many airlines and ferry companies that serve it from France and abroad.

Once on the island, you have various very convenient options to get you around the island on its small roads, including car, motorbike, train and bus, and if you are looking for a total change of pace, why not explore Corsica by bike, on foot, in a kayak or even on horseback?

When coming to Corsica and to spend a restful holiday, please remember that all visitors from the age of 11 must present a negative RT-PCR test result carried out less than 72 hours before departure.

Corsica for sporting holidays

With 120 peaks over 2,000 m above sea level and its many trails, Corsica offers a multitude of walks and hikes to go on with friends and family: GR20, coastline trails, sea and mountain trails… whatever level you are at, you will be spoilt for choice!

You can also travel on horseback, mountain bike and road bike. Thrill seekers can climb the most beautiful cliffs, take a free-fall jump or even indulge in canyoning or rafting in rivers and natural pools.

Sailboat and catamaran enthusiasts, aboard their skippered or non-skippered boats, can access the most amazing shorelines and explore the most beautiful beaches and sumptuous coves hidden among the 1000 km of coastline.

Corsica for cultural holidays

Corsica has exceptional architectural heritage which you can appreciate right across the island, both inland and on the coast. Bastions, citadels, towers, feast your eyes on the surprises offered by its many architectural gems! Plus, you may not know it, but Corsica has 4 classified art and history cities: Ajaccio, Bonifacio, Corte and Sartene!

Your children will also marvel at the ancient sites of Aleria, Cucuruzzu, Araghju and wonder at the menhirs of Filitosa and Cauria. They will also have the opportunity to walk in the footsteps of Napoleon in the imperial city, accompanied on an informative tour with a guide-lecturer.

After having quenched your thirst in a shaded square, why not take in one of the exhibitions offered in one of Corsica's many museums, for example in Corte, Ajaccio or Bastia!

Then if you decide to head to the interior, you have the chance to admire the churches and chapels of the villages. Perhaps you will even get the chance to listen to a "paghjella", the traditional Corsican song registered as world heritage by UNESCO.

Corsica for a relaxing holiday

For an authentic holiday, choose to stay in a bed and breakfast in a small village in the interior, or in an American style house in Cap Corse. Explore the flora and fauna with a specialised guide during a walk or horseback ride. At the end of the day, take the time to relax in the therapeutic waters of one of the thermal springs.

Be sure to sample the calming influence of an activity at sea surrounded by the turquoise waters, then treat yourself to some gourmet food by sampling a regional recipe conceived by a passionate chef with local products. Take some time to spoil yourself with a body treatment with myrtle or immortelle essential oils. Before leaving, don't forget to pick up your souvenir from an island artist.
