Meeting with Jean Laurent Savelli and Lisandru Leccia, winemakers

Domaine Olmeta and Domaine Leccia

Two winemakers, two estates, one passion for wine

The Domaine Stéphanie Olmeta

Stéphanie Olmeta and Jean Laurent Savelli are the owners of an organic 7ha wine estate based in Patrimoniu, in the region of Nebbiu Conca d’Oru. In 2004 the couple took over the vineyards which were planted by Stéphanie's grandparents.

Apart from their job as winegrowers, Stephanie paints and Jean Laurent sings. The couple’s philosophy is to spread happiness and share pleasure, Passionate and excited about their jobs, they are enthusiastic about their appellations, grape varieties, organic farming and vintages ...

The Domaine Leccia

Active since the 1960's, the 15ha vineyard located in Poghju d'Oletta, was taken over by Lisandru a few years ago. His family has been associated with the vines for decades, and this young winemaker has already made a name for himself both in Corsica and beyond. Since 2007 the domain has practiced organic and biodynamic cultivation, and according to the greatest connoisseurs is "one of the best among the Patrimonio appellation". We met him in the middle of his vineyards, where his passion for wine overcomes the natural shyness of this man of the earth... An interview a little bit different perhaps, with not the usual questions on a subject as serious as wine!
