Presentation
Each and every piece is unique and entirely handmade. I started to work with glass when I was just nine years old. My father was a master-glassmaker who passed on his skills and love for this art form to me. Today, I work in the same way as with paint, mixing colours and different textures, and incorporating materials such as enamel, gold, rubies, coral and other metallic oxides. Glass is a material which has to be worked at a temperature of 1200°C and is made up of silica and different carbonates. What is most fascinating for me is to start out with a fireball and to master this material in order to create a unique work of art from it.
