Jocelyne Boyer's career is atypical. She began her art glass business after fifteen years spent at the Casa di Artigiani in Pigna, aware of the work of materials: ceramics, wood, textiles. "It was the glass that chose me," Jocelyne confides by herself. I felt during my first realization an intense emotion, like a skylight. It was the first time in my life that I knew I really belonged. A real revelation, obvious. After training at the European Center for Research and Training in Glass Arts (CERFAV) in France, she opened her large workshop in Belgodère, thanks in particular to the assistance of the town hall. Jocelyne works with a very particular glass, the Massa glass, bubbled and tinted in the mass. The designer does not blow glass, she practices fusing, thermoforming and sandblasting techniques. "You have to enter matter, provoke it, stretch it, seek its limit, it's almost a carnal relationship! "Delivers the artist. In 2019, she won the Regional Prize for Métiers D’Art de France, in Marseille, with her work "Ambivalence". For her future projects, Jocelyne wants above all to meet her new models and deliver a reflection on our contemporary societies.
