A REGION ON A HUMAN SCALE WITH A COASTAL AND MOUNTAINOUS AREA

The Alta Rocca is bounded by the Bavella and Ospedale massifs and the Cuscionu plateau. The Rizzanese river runs through it. It rises in the high mountains of the Alta Rocca and flows through the region, providing the water needed by each of the communes along with its tributaries. The diversity of landscapes that make up this region offers an exceptionally rich flora and fauna.

The Côte des Nacres, named after the shellfish that used to be found here, is steeped in diversity. In an exceptionally unspoilt setting, the coastline alternates between coves and long golden sandy beaches, while the villages offer an intimate view of Corsica.

You'll need less than two hours to reach Corsica by plane, so whatever the season, you can breathe in the fresh mountain air or the sea air from our beaches! If you prefer to travel by boat, you'll also be less than 2 hours from the island's main commercial ports.

Let yourself be surprised by the seasons, as you please, and the gentle way of life offered by our villages will allow you to recharge your batteries in complete peace and quiet.

Away from the hustle and bustle of the city, the winter season offers you the chance to discover and sample the gastronomic specialities of the local pork butchers and cheesemakers, after putting on your snowshoes or trainers for an unusual hike and perhaps catching a glimpse of a mouflon sheep.

In spring and autumn, you'll have the chance to take a dip in the sea every day on one of our most beautiful beaches and enjoy the marvellous sunrises and sunsets. The light you'll find there will provide you with memorable photos and memories.
