Launched in 2016, the BikingMan is the world's 1st ultracycling championship. The world series of ultradistance races offers you events on roads and gravel tracks. It is the ultimate endurance challenge for athletes looking to compete on mythical courses with extraordinary topographical and climatic conditions, autonomously and without stages.
The first finishers in the BikingMan Corsica #8 ultracycling race will cross the finish line late this morning, Tuesday 27 May, at Camping San Damiano in Biguglia.
This anniversary edition marks the 50th challenge in the worldwide BikingMan series, founded by Axel Carion, and is one of the most demanding races on the calendar.
Participants had to cover 1,000 km with a positive altitude difference of more than 19,000 metres, in total autonomy and within a maximum time limit of 120 hours.
The route took in such iconic sites as Cap Corse, the Aiguilles de Bavella and the Calanques de Piana, including such legendary passes as Battaglia, Vergio, Ospedale, Bavella and Verde.
