For the 24th year running, the Fig Fair will be held at the Plaine de Peri.
We look forward to seeing you on 12 and 13 September for one of the must-attend events in the Greater Ajaccio area.
A day dedicated to both professionals and the general public, with a focus on culinary delights: demonstrations, tastings, exhibitions, concerts and the chance to discover different varieties of fig trees are just some of the highlights of this day devoted to figs.
The organisers
The Ghjuventù Peraccia association, based at the Auberge de l’Ustaria, is responsible for organising the fair and ensuring its festive atmosphere.
Saplings
In partnership with the Castellucciu nursery, 17,000 fig tree saplings were sold during the fair.
The theme
Centred on figs and animals to delight the children.
A competition
Dedicated to jam, it is the only certified fair to feature both a producers’ category and an amateur category.
A Cunfraterna
With a touch of humour, the fair’s organising committee has also formed the ‘Cunfraterna di u Ficu’.
An atmosphere
In addition to outdoor and indoor stalls, there is live music for the public to enjoy, as well as a variety of meals on offer.
