Presentation

To mark its 10th anniversary, Festi Lumi is offering three magical evenings, with the Mediterranean and the world of Bonifacian fishermen taking centre stage. Light projections, live shows and artistic installations will transform the town into a showcase of light.

Festi Lumi's varied and surprising works of light and artistic interventions will be unveiled through an intuitive night-time itinerary featuring a number of points of interest: the Quai Saint-Erasme, the Chapel of Saint-Roch, the Bastion de l'Étendard esplanade, the Church of Sainte-Marie-Majeure, the Tourist Office, the Place Carrega, the Place Bir Hakeim, the Halle de l'Arsenal, the Pisan quarter and the Church of Saint-Dominique.

You'll be subtly guided while remaining in control of your own wanderings and your own discovery of the artistic offerings. You'll not only be a spectator, but also, at times, an actor, as you let your imagination run wild with the works on display.

WHAT IS FESTI LUMI?
- Giant video projections of light and images on the façades of key buildings in the town centre.
- Works of light scattered around the city, punctuating the festival route. They interact with the light, manipulating it, magnifying it and sometimes even connecting it with the audience.
- These magic lanterns have been with us since the very first edition of the festival. A veritable ‘Little Thumb’ of light, they guide visitors' steps through the citadel and fill the night sky with a swarm of mysterious lights (lanterns on sale for the duration of the festival, near the Arsenal hall).

THE JOURNEY
This year, the Festi Lumi route is completely digital at www.festilumi.fr. At a glance, you'll be able to see the event's focal points and access a presentation of each guest artist and his or her lighting installation.

PRACTICAL INFORMATION
Free admission
Meet up in the heart of Bonifacio from dusk until 1am.

MAGIC Lanterns TO TAKE HOME
As every year, lanterns are on sale in the town by the Office Municipal de Tourisme. In addition to the tourist information offices in the Citadelle, the Bastion and the Marine, a sales point will be set up in the Pisan district, opposite the Loggia de l'Arsenal on the 3 evenings of the festival.
