Between the last weekend in July and the first weekend in August at the col de Prato bocca di u pratu, the col de Prato fair, almost 1,000 m above sea level will enable you to meet breeders and their flocks and herds. You will be able to sample various Corsican recipes and specialities and obtain a variety of local gastronomic produce as well as local arts and crafts products (cheese, honey, pastries). Depending on the years, the fair may organise debates and competitions (regional contest for bulls and cows with calf and cows without their young), sheep (Corsican rams) and caprine (goats) breeding, horse endurance test, a long-distance race (bocca di u Prato-San Pedrone, there and back, a distance of 9 km with 780 metres difference in altitude, the record for this race being just 45 minutes!), games for children, sampling and sale of Corsican veal, a bullfighting spectacle, writers and novelists discussing and signing their works, poetry and singing evenings with the best known Corsican musical groups... from Mass sung at San Petru d'Accia and the inevitable greatly appreciated and hotly disputed games of boules, with numerous prizes!
