Presentation
A traditional rural fair where you can discover local producers and a variety of craftspeople. Every summer, on the last weekend of July, the Col de Prato Fair, or ‘Fiera di Bocca di u Pratu’, takes place.
Set at an altitude of almost 1,000 metres in Castagniccia, come and discover the island’s largest traditional livestock fair. Enjoy a range of competitions (bulls and cows, Corsican rams, billy goats, horses, etc.), a major footrace (Bocca di u Prato–San Pedrone and back, 9 km with a 780-metre elevation gain), as well as games and entertainment for children and adults alike.
It’s also an opportunity to sample a wide variety of Corsican specialities and to buy local food and craft products (cheese, honey, pastries, knives, jewellery…), as well as to immerse yourself in Corsican culture by attending evenings of Corsican singing or the sung mass at San Petru d’Accia, or even by taking part in the unmissable boules competition!
