Like Cannes, the village of Lama has its own Film Festival. With all the authenticity and conviviality typical of Balagne and Corsica. Lama invites you to celebrate the 31st anniversary of this international event.
This year, the Lama Film Festival is back with a bang!
As always, the Lama Film Festival is open to all, with screenings for children every evening, short films, feature-length previews and documentaries. There will also be family-friendly workshops throughout the day, including readings, singing, dancing and scriptwriting workshops.
After the big evening screenings under the stars of Balagne, the film teams meet up with the public the day after the screenings, under the plane tree, to chat and answer questions.
Founded in 1994 by a handful of local film enthusiasts, the Festival takes place outdoors in the village of Lama. The selection is international: around twenty feature films, never before seen, previews, a short film competition, documentaries, a look at Corsican production, workshops...
There are three open-air screening venues:
- La piscine 700 places in the middle of nature between sky and earth,
- L'Umbria 150 seats, a small square surrounded by houses,
- Le Mercatu 100 seats, right in the heart of the village.
There's also the village hall for indoor screenings.
And for colloquia and conferences, the Festival takes place in "Le Stallo", a superb old stable that has been remarkably restored.
A week of cinema under the stars... not to be missed!
