In Cantu is a vocal ensemble devoted essentially to Corsican polyphony. This training brings together artists from both prestigious Corsican groups (Canta u Populu Corsu, Caramusa, etc.) and the lyrical world, driven by the desire to return to the sources of polyphonic, refined and authentic singing.
In Cantu aims to be a bridge in the transmission of the polyphonic tradition for the island public, but also, a witness to the vitality of Corsican culture for an audience coming from other horizons.
Its repertoire is made up exclusively of songs performed a cappella and includes both sacred songs (masses of Sermanu, Rusiu, Sartè, etc.) and secular songs (paghjelle, madrigali, terzetti, etc.) as well as its own creations, in a program which alternates very old tunes from a centuries-old tradition and contemporary works.
