Presentation
The Tour de Corse à la Voile is a regatta based in Bonifacio, organised by the Bonifacio Yacht Club under the auspices of the French Sailing Federation and the Corsican Sailing League.
Remaining true to its iconic 250 nautical miles non-stop route around the ‘Isle of Beauty’, this regatta retains its sporting spirit and the legendary camaraderie characteristic of passionate sailors.
Every year, crews from all over Europe take up this unique challenge. Alongside a majority of French-flagged boats, crews from Italy, Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands and even Luxembourg bear witness to the event’s European appeal.
It attracts both amateur sailors and the big names in sailing who have left their mark on its history: Florence Arthaud, Franck Cammas, Catherine Chabaud, Kito de Pavant, Sébastien Josse, Lionel Péan (the current record holder, with a time of 25 hours, 57 minutes and 5 seconds)… An impressive roll of honour for a race that is closer to an offshore adventure than a simple inshore regatta.

SATURDAY 3, SUNDAY 4 AND MONDAY 5 OCTOBER
• 9.00 am: confirmation of entries, measurement and safety checks
MONDAY 5 OCTOBER
• 6.00 pm: Bonifacio IRC Cup briefing
TUESDAY 6 OCTOBER
• 10.00 am: 1st warning signal – Races to follow
WEDNESDAY 7 OCTOBER
• 10.00 am: First warning signal – Races to follow
• 5.30 pm: Compulsory briefing and vote on the direction of rotation for the main race course.
• 7.00 pm: crew cocktail reception and announcement of the direction of rotation for the main race.
THURSDAY 8 OCTOBER
• 12 noon: Start of the main race – Tour de Corse à la Voile LV Overseas
SUNDAY 11 OCTOBER
• 1.00 pm: Closing ceremony – Prize-giving and drinks reception
