The 27 July
Via Romana is an individual race held in Carpinetu en Castagniccia. Organized since 2001, it usually takes place at the end of July. She is registered in the Mare e Monti international circuit, and is also part of the mountain race challenge. Come to measure the Corsican mountain on 3 exceptional courses of 62km and 3700m of elevation gain, 40km and 2500m of elevation gain, or 23km and 1100m of elevation gain. Two mini-trails will be organized around the village of Carpineto to sensitize young people to this sporting practice. You will run in a natural and preserved environment that follows mule tracks through chestnut groves and centuries-old beech forests dotted with chapels, churches, convents, sheepfolds, springs, refreshing fountains and other elements of local heritage that dot the circuit. You will also walk along ridges from where you will discover all the Corsican massifs and the Mediterranean Sea. 1, 2, 3, go!
