As part of the programme of festivities for Christmas 2025, the town of Ajaccio is once again staging its famous City Trail Impérial on Saturday 27 December 2025, a running event within the city walls that attracts no fewer than 1,500 runners and some 10,000 spectators every year.
It's a popular event that brings participants together in a festive atmosphere in the heart of a city centre that's completely pedestrianised! The start of this 9.4 km race with a 200 m climb will be at 7.00 pm from the Place Campinchi, in the heart of Ajaccio's Christmas Market... and as always, runners are invited to come in fancy dress!
The event is organised by the Town of Ajaccio, in collaboration with the athletics clubs. Corsica Triathlon Club d'Ajaccio, GFC Ajaccio Athlétisme, ASPTT Ajaccio Athlétisme, Corsica Run X Trem, Club Omnisports Porticcio, A Santamariaccia, Cercle Athlétique Ajaccien.
Profits from participants' entries have been donated to charities since the first event.
