As part of the scientific year devoted to the Bronze Age, the Musée de l'Alta Rocca is hosting the exhibition Nuragica from 8 January to 30 September 2026.
It takes visitors to the heart of Sardinian Nuragic culture and its links with Corsican Torréenne society 1,500 years BC. Thanks to spectacular reconstructions and a captivating story,
Nuragica offers an exceptional multimedia and sensory experience.
A journey through time
With Nuragica, the Alta Rocca Museum offers a unique experience combining scientific knowledge and emotion. Thanks to life-size reconstructions such as the tombs of the giants and the nuragic towers, one of the oldest and most mysterious societies in the Mediterranean basin comes to life.
Thanks to an innovative exhibition trail that combines real and virtual settings, visitors are transported on a captivating journey back in time to the heart of the history of the Nuraghic civilisation.
A shared past
The exhibition, organised to mark the 150th anniversary of the recognition of the Bronze Age, also traces the links between Nuraghic culture and Corsican Torréenne society during this period.
Thanks to a joint effort by Corsican and Sardinian experts, the contents of Nuragica have been enriched by parallels on the evolution of Corsica, its contacts and commonalities with Sardinia, thanks in particular to recent and, in some cases, previously unpublished discoveries.
Bringing Nuraghic culture to life
One of the distinctive features of the exhibition is its innovative way of telling the story and bringing it to life for visitors. With
original, didactic way of telling the story, supplemented by virtual reality, the exhibition reaches out to audiences of all ages and backgrounds, with the aim of bringing the Nuraghic culture to life.
The aim is to bring new audiences into contact with museums. The use of virtual reality allows visitors to immerse themselves in a distant past, to feel its essence and observe its protagonists.
A great success in Italy
A travelling exhibition launched in 2017, it has been a great success in Sardinia and on the Italian peninsula.
