Erected at the request of Ajaccio's coral fishermen in 1841, the lazaretto was originally a place of quarantine. Since its acquisition, by François Ollandini, it has become an essential cultural and artistic meeting place for the imperial city: Marc Petit museum, Exhibition halls and central courtyard which can be converted and privatized for receptions and Gala evenings.
