Association of Guides to the Palais Fesch and the heritage of Ajaccio.
Ajaccio has a wonderful cultural heritage. With this in mind, and to mark the rebirth of the Palais Fesch Musée des Beaux-Arts, the town of Ajaccio urged a handful of guides to offer regular tours of the permanent collections. The association was created in 2011. It strives to be in perfect harmony with Cardinal Fesch's desire to teach, while at the same time meeting the town's expectations.
Since 2024, the Guides du Palais have also enjoyed a privileged collaboration with the steering committee of the Heritage Department of the town of Ajaccio, which has been awarded the Town of Art and History label. The Palais Guides offer regular tours of the Fesch collections, particularly at night, as well as tours on four other themes chosen by the city: Ajaccio, Genoese town (1492-1768), the Bonaparte legacy, Ajaccio's Golden Age (1850 - 1912), and the Resistance and the Liberation.
