Village, 20234 Novale

Charming village from which you can view the sea to the east and Mont San Petrone to the north. It is worth noting the interior of the parish church of San Stefano (18th century) that is the work of the painter Gherardi and whose pediment is erected facing the sea. The legends tell us that "Simone Dominus de Corsica", known as Count Pazzo, who lived during the 10th century, owned 2 Castelli, one located in the heights of the village, and another set alongside the river, "A Torra a Calzeretta". Very little evidence remains of these Castelli.
