Cargiaca is a charming little village that still retains traces of its former prosperity. This village of pastoral origin, set in a peaceful region, is marked by its authenticity and the serenity of its surroundings.

As you stroll through the narrow streets of Cargiaca, you'll come across small traditional houses that bear witness to the pastoral lifestyle of its inhabitants over the centuries. Each house, built from local stone, tells a story of simplicity and community life.

One of Cargiaca's jewels is its parish church, restored in the 17th century. This well-preserved monument, which has recently been enhanced to provide a place for locals and visitors alike to live and meet, is a real architectural treasure that reflects the spiritual soul and religious history of the village. The church is proudly accompanied by its bell tower, which dominates the landscape, offering a breathtaking view of the surrounding area.

As you venture through the village, you'll come across an ancient fountain, A Funtana di a Capedda. This water source is an emblematic place where the locals used to come to get fresh water.

To the east of Cargiaca, an imposing rock dominates the landscape. According to local lore, this rock once housed a castle called Castellu Della Rocca, which watched over the village and surrounding area. Although the remains of the castle have disappeared over time, the history surrounding the site still inspires respect and mystery. History buffs will be able to imagine the grandeur of this once-strategic castle, now replaced by the calm and rugged beauty of the mountains and valleys".
