Presentation
The Market Square. In the past, it was known as U Masgilu, a word that means ?butcher?s " and not ?market ?(mercatu). The two terms became muddled together over time, so much so that the site, after having served as an abattoir, was transformed into a covered market. There is an unequalled view of the Bouches de Bonifacio, the Campu Romanellu, Saint-Antoine point and Sardinia from here.
