LE TORRIONE. Constructed from 1484 onwards and successively reinforced by armies, it was built on the ancient Casteletto, which itself was probably built on top of the first fortifications constructed in the IX century by Boniface, marquis of Tuscany. Destroyed in 1901, as it was too visible to enemy forces, it was rebuilt in the 1980?s.
