Sari-Solenzara charms visitors with its diverse landscapes and warm atmosphere. Comprising two main areas – the village of Sari and the seaside resort of Solenzara – this 74 km² municipality is surrounded by hills and mountains, offering varied and majestic views.

Solenzara, famous for its marina, is a popular destination for lovers of the sea and relaxation. The harbour, situated in the heart of the town, embodies the spirit of this seaside resort, where festivities and water sports events take place one after another from May to October. The clatter of the masts and the tranquillity of the harbour make it a charming spot for a peaceful stroll. The River Solenzara, a natural gem with crystal-clear waters, enchants visitors with its rapids and natural pools, ideal for a getaway in the heart of nature.

Canella Beach, with its shallow waters, is perfect for families. As well as its fine sand and crystal-clear waters, it offers a unique view of the old Corsican railway, adding a touch of history to this picturesque spot. But this isn’t the only beach visitors can enjoy, as the Solenzara coastline stretches southwards, dotted with small coves and unspoilt beaches.

Sari, perched at an altitude of 450 metres, is an authentic and picturesque haven of peace. Its fountains, traditional houses and sun-drenched alleyways paint an enchanting picture. The viewpoints from La Penna and Monte Santu offer breathtaking panoramic views, with the sea on one side and the Bavella Massif on the other, inviting visitors to simply take it all in.

The Church of Saint Peter, restored in the 19th century using stones from the old chapel, reflects the dedication of the local community; its bell tower was added later by the villagers.

Every year, the patron saint’s festivals of Saint Peter on 29 June and Saint Paul the following day in Solenzara bring the two villages together in a spirit of solidarity and conviviality, symbolising the strong bond that unites the inhabitants of Sari and Solenzara.

Sari-Solenzara thus offers an ideal setting, combining beaches, rivers, mountain scenery and architectural heritage, perfect for those seeking natural beauty and authenticity.
