Situated in Aléria, in the eastern plain, the visit to this Roman site should be programmed with a visit to the archaeology museum J.Carcopino located in fort Matra, an old C16th fortress. Roman and pre-Roman town, capital of the island in ancient times, the city is still the subject of digs. For your information, guided visits of the site take place mainly in July and August and you should first contact the tourist office in Aléria.
