From Peru beach, near Cargèse, an excellent path (45min) leads to the wild side of the Omigna penisula, which juts far out into the sea. The recently restored Genoese tower adds a picturesque aspect to this promontory, which is one of the westernmost in Corsica (along with Capo Rosso and the Réserve de Scandola). Five other Genoese towers are visible from the Omigna tower: Orchinu and Turghiu to the north, and Cargèse, Capu di Fenu and Castelluciu to the south. If the sea is calm, don't forget your snorkel and mask, as the snorkelling around this area is relatively easy.
